You know what they say, behind every great man there stands a woman. Unless you’re Stephen King, then the woman doesn’t stand, she instead crouches near a bin, waiting for his next best seller.

At least she gets a dignified life.

Why are there hundreds of thousands of articles and books on writing?

For the authors; because they want money from it, they think their interpretation of the process is better than what came before, and getting their own process on paper satisfies the creative ego. For the readers; newer texts promise further refinement, there’s the never ending quest to find a silver bullet, while new books are chosen over old, because social channelling and conformity demands being up to date.

And… while reading this, you reminded me of the importance of writing every day, so to fulfil that, I decided to leave this comment.
